While many other brands choose to use chemical solvents in this process, at Plant Junkie we use simple presses (called expellers) to squeeze the oils out naturally. We promise to use ONLY 100% expeller-pressed oils in all our Plant Junkie products.

Plant Junkie spreads (and traditional mayo) are what is called an emulsion—a mixture of oil and water held together by protein. When exposed to freezing temperatures, these liquids can separate. When this happens, it is still safe to consume, but may not have the same creamy texture and stability. Please keep temperature in mind when shipping Plant Junkie products, and avoid leaving them in winter weather/freezing temperatures.
